Ordering

After receiving your jewellery order and authorization of payment from your credit/debit card via paypal, a confirmation e-mail with details of your order will be sent to you. Your correct e-mail address is therefore essential in order to send your confirmation and to be able to contact you in case of any queries/changes regarding your order. If you do not receive our confirmation e-mail, please check your SPAM inbox.

Delivery

Your order will usually be received within 7-10 working days following your order confirmation. Deliveries outside Europe will take longer depending on the country. In the event of your chosen item(s) being temporarily out of stock, we will inform you and advise on the new anticipated delivery time. If this delivery time is not appropriate for you, you will then have the chance to change or cancel your order. If you have any questions regarding your order, please do not hesitate to contact us on javana.mahal@gmail.com. All goods will be sent to the customer by recorded post which requires a signature for proof of delivery.

Payment

All prices are quoted in GB Pounds Sterling, however payments in other currencies are accepted. We accept a wide variety of credit/debit cards via the secure paypal site. Prices include delivery/postal charges and packaging. Any import duties levied by particular countries when importing packages will be the responsibility of the customer.

Presentation packaging

Each item of Javana jewellery is individually presented in a handmade black lokta paper box filled with naturally coloured lokta tissue paper. Our boxes are intended for presentation purposes only and storing jewellery in them for extended periods may accelerate the tarnishing process.

Returns & exchange

Goods can only be returned if they have not been worn other than for the purpose of trying on and have been appropriately cared for whilst in the customer’s possession. The jewellery must be in exactly the same brand new condition as it was dispatched, otherwise any rights to take advantage of our refund or exchange policy will be void. However leather cords and earrings due to hygiene reasons cannot be returned. We strongly encourage customers ordering rings to have their finger measured professionally to avoid disappointment of the ring not fitting (please refer to further information regarding ring sizes). We try to ensure that the images of the jewellery on our website are as realistic and accurate as possible, however sometimes the pieces may differ slightly due to the handcrafted process. The customer is responsible for the return postage by recorded delivery unless the item is faulty. When an item is returned by the customer and requested to be exchanged, an additional postage will be charged to the customer to send the replacement item. This will be calculated depending on the item(s) and destination. If Javana agrees it appropriate for the customer to return their order, a refund will be given minus the postage costs. In the event of the goods being faulty, a full refund will be given or a replacement item will be sent with no additional postal charges. Goods must be returned within 7 working days of receipt in their original packaging. It is imperative that the customer informs us by e-mail if they intend to return/exchange any items PRIOR to doing so, so that we can give appropriate instructions regarding the procedure including the returns postal address.

Caring for your jewellery

We cannot guarantee the jewellery against normal wear and tear such as scratching and denting or perishables such as leather cords against fraying or breaking. Although the snake chains we sell are of good quality, they do have a limited life, however with careful handling you will hopefully get the most out of your chain. We recommend not to wear the chains or leather cords while sleeping or bathing and it is important not to wear heavy pendants to avoid damaging the chain. Special care not to pull on the chain while polishing is also essential. All our jewellery is made from 925 Sterling silver. Over time silver will tarnish, however this is a natural process and is not a sign of inferior silver. Many factors can influence how quickly silver tarnishes, and individuals may have a different experience due to their skin etc. Therefore returns for tarnishing will not be accepted. We recommend soft silver cloths or a silver dip for polishing which are readily available at jewellery stores.

Ring sizes

We have provided an international ring size conversion chart for guidance, however we strongly advise you to have your finger measured professionally. Please also bear in mind that your finger may vary in size depending on the time of day and the weather. Please note that when ordering a wide ring, you will probably require a larger size to normal. The sizes on our website on our scroll down menus are the US sizes. Please refer to the chart to see the equivalent size in other countries.
